Requests for public records must be in writing and may be submitted on a Freedom of Information Act Request Form which can be obtained 2 ways:

No fees shall be charged for the first 50 pages of black and white, letter, or legal-sized copies requested.
After the first 50 pages, the fee for black and white, letter, or legal-sized copies shall be 15 cents per page.
Actual cost will be charged for other documents not of standard size and for the recording medium (e.g. compact disk, tape, DVD).
The District may waive or reduce fees if the person requesting the records states the specific purpose for the request and indicates that a waiver or reduction of fees is in the public interest.

Mission: Rantoul City Schools exists to build a stronger community by educating students.
Organizational Structure: Rantoul City Schools is governed by a Board of Education and led by the Superintendent. Supporting the Superintendent is an Assistant Superintendent, along with directors overseeing key operational areas including Business and Finance, Curriculum and Instruction, Human Resources, Student Services, Technology, Food Services, and Alternative Programs. Additional leadership roles include a Pre-K Director and a District Bilingual Coordinator. The district’s schools are managed by Principals.
Operating Budget: The total operating budget for 2024–2025 was $39,285,958.

Staffing: The district employs approximately 395 full-time and part-time staff across all locations.
Governing & Advisory Bodies: The Board of Education (7 members) oversees district policies and strategic direction. Advisory roles include district committees for areas such as curriculum, safety, and community engagement.
